Deborah L. Anderson
Deborah Anderson is Practice Group Leader for the Private Clients group. She represents individuals, trusts, partnerships, limited liability companies and corporations with respect to estate, income and gift tax planning matters and trust and estate administration. She provides estate, gift and integrated income tax planning to individuals. Her work in this area includes succession planning for owners of closely held businesses, including corporations and partnerships and charitable planning. She serves as Trustee of many significant family trusts and advises other Trustees with respect to the proper administration of trusts and estates. She also serves as a personal representative under wills and provides legal services, including preparation of estate tax returns, to other personal representatives.
Prior to joining Nixon Peabody in 1990, Ms. Anderson had extensive experience with tax and financial planning for closely held corporations and real estate partnerships.
Deborah Anderson has been recognized in the 2012 edition of Boston’s Top Lawyers for her Estate Planning work. She was named one of the "Top 100 Attorneys" by Worth Magazine in 2008, only one of five so designated in Massachusetts. Deborah has also received an AV Preeminent® Peer Review Rating™ from Martindale Hubbell®, the highest possible rating for ethics and legal ability.

Ms. Anderson is a member of the Boston Bar Association Estate Planning Committee and the Boston Estate Planning Council. She serves on the Finance Committee and as a trustee on the Board of Trustees of the Judge Baker Children's Center.
